What is it with time anyways?

Is the world shrinking? Atleast mine is. If I meet someone new I find out that they are already good friends with my other friend. It has definitely become quite a stiff challenge, and I should say I am becoming an expert at juggling calls, to stay in touch with pretty much everyone I know even though there is scrapping, emails, offlines, phone calls, voicemails. Its just not enough 24 hours to do so many zillion things... Yes you are hard pressed for time to stay in touch or well you are …easily put... a lazy bum! I guess I am a bit of both! Now that’s my problem!!

Time as such is quite an abstract overrated concept! Who decided that there would only be 24hours in a day? This has been my question all along. You are busy all the time or you are completely just bored out of your mind and do some crazy stuff to kill time (I wish if that concept was true…just go kill time??) Time stands still and you are waiting forever for the weekend to come when it’s a Monday or time just zips past you especially if it’s a weekend or a long weekend. I know that it’s your mind playing games on you but still you do feel all of this.

Remember postponing your holiday homework so you will complete a week before school starts and when all of a sudden it’s the night before school starts and you are cramming trying to complete it. What happened to all that planning where did all that time go? Where did that week go? You did not just while it away you were doing something totally unproductively useful! See my theory is this anything you consider useful at the moment becomes obsolete and absolutely useless after some point of time.(Again time plays a major role in this)

Remember those study holidays when you used to make plans how you would split your studying the subjects? It’s the end of the holidays and you still haven’t started even one chapter and the exam is the next day? Of course who would have the time to study with a busy schedule of sleeping (you need enough rest to prepare), watching TV (to see if the exams have been postponed only to find out that they have been advanced!!), hanging out with friends (checking the syllabus and exchanging notes of course!), watching movies (trying to relieve the too much stress and tensions caused due to exams), eating good food (but of course…you cant live without eating. Whom are you kidding?)

You don’t want to keep things for the last minute yet you finally wind up doing something at the last hour. I only wish the God of death was as screwed up with time as us. Wouldn’t that be a penny for my thoughts?
Anyways I dont blame Einstein for pondering over time, even though his theories gave me a hard time at school. I know a couple of my friends who are still debating and passing or rather killing time arguing over this theory!

It is rightful for your friends to get mad at you since you were the one who promised to stay in touch. The best way to work this out would be set a schedule for yourself and go round robin in calling everyone so that you keep everyone happy! This would avoid ,you getting threatening voicemails or scraps!

And to top it be aware of time management coz time is one elusive customer!

Musafir hoon yaaron...

Literally translated as I am a traveller my friends...Its a song from the movie Parichay(Introduction or familiarity) and I have of late become quite a traveler. I easily put a 1000 miles every month. Travelling and exploring new places is lotsafun and always exciting especially if you are the adventurous and inquisitive kind.
Ok! what are the essentials you would need when travelling on the road or rather what resources and stuff I use when I am travelling.

  • Cell phone with proper signal and charge. Always use a car charger since you will definitely need to use ur cell phone.
  • Have a friend online and they should be able to help you out if you get lost and believe me you will get lost. they will be like your GPS and they are the best you can have.
  • if you travelling on a long weekend/weekend be prepared for hectic traffic!
  • on the highway gas prices are outrageous, so try to fill your tank before you leave in the local gas stations
These are only things you need. Of course have a destination address but if you just driving for the heck of it..who cares just get behind the wheels and drive.

Its nice to go to new places of course here everywhere its the same a huge mall, bowling, movies, six flags.
But this country also hosts a lot of natural wonders.
one of these days I must visit the Yellow Stone, the grand canyon, the yosemite, california, seattle, mount rushmore,...man the list is never ending and i havent even started listing places in other countries yet.

Keep travelling and drive safe on the road.

Destination Boston

Destination Boston
Originally uploaded by digijinx.
I picked this sign up from one of the stores in Quincy Market. Aptly titled for this blog. definitely its not like NY city, The city of Boston has its own charm..Apparently the subway in Boston is the oldest in this country(thats the claim..i dont know the facts so i dont deny it.) I have been to the city before but have never travelled in the subway.. I have driven up and down the soldiersfield drive and got lost purposely in the commonwealth avenue...that place is just awesome..one of these days am gonna take nice walk there with the cherry blossoms, tulips and magnolias....ok am straying away frm the topic....)they call the subway ... the MBTA here(dont knw what its short for..google and find out)

As with everycity you cant find parking, so better opt for the train and the best way to explore any city is by foot..there are hidden treasures in the nooks and corners of the city which you will evidently miss if u travel otherwise..nataraja service is the best you can get.

I along with my friends took a walk on the freedom trail. Its a 3 mile historical walk around the city of Boston. We started in Boston commons and you get to walk across the bridge over the charles river. It was kinda rainy that day..so we didnt complete the entire course..I took a rain chek on this one. The city is a blend of contemporary and antique designs. You can still find the influence of the British here. a couple of chapels, graveyards, city hall mark the trail.

The Quincy market is a nice hang out to shop and to eat. name it you got it ...you can find almost anything for food here.
many more visits to come to boston and the beaches.
All in all a fun trip.

DaVinci Code

Thrills,Meticulous attention to detail and well taken.
I read and saw reviews saying that the movie DaVinci Code was not that good. I finally managed to get a ticket for the first day show of the movie and its taken really well.
Ron Howard a brilliant movie maker has once again created magic on the screen. The movie was sold out in most theatres. The hype given to the movie and then the movie itself just awesome.
Tom Hanks(i know am being partial here, but well am a tom hanks fan) has done a wonderful job except for the weird hair do of his. wats with that??

The heroine of the movie I didnt quite catch her name it was Audrey somehting...has done a good job too and they finally nail her to be the holy grail. Jean Reno is always the French Policeman (remember the French Kiss) and is always a nice cop bound to his duties. Looks like Paul Bettany is a keeper for Ron Howard he has also starred in A Beautiful Mind earlier. He has done a really good job, that you start hating the character first and then start pitying it.

The whole concept of the story sparks debates. But the movie was very well made.
I am sure many people would beg to differ and call the movie a total waste of time. Well its their opinion not mine.
