A wish for the new year

This had been brewing since the holidays but I didn't get enough time (between work and clicking photographs..I have been neglecting my writing...this year I hope to work on that too) to work on it and get it all done. It's actually been a while since I sat down to write something. As they say "It's better late than never" here goes a wish for this year.

When you hear the sleigh bells ring
It’s that season of joy
Which makes every heart sing

It’s that time of the year
When the ambience is all festive
It’s that season of love
When all you do is give

Just close your eyes
And join in the fun
Have a good time,
It’s only just begun

Filled with all wonders and miracles
Let the joy spread
Toast yourself to a new life,
To the new year ahead
